Bridget seems like a fine goat. Of course, my Great-Granddaddy always cautioned us as Texans never to “give ‘em a name.” as that would often dissuade us from “inviting them to dinner”, if you get my drift. Not that we would do such things down here. Gotta run and check the smoker – BBQ tonight!

Ha you know it was funny how quickly the goat became ‘visible’ as her own character, the whole hooves hitting the floor line made me laugh out loud and I’m not even sure why

Hannah, I chose this name for a Cthulu role-playing game (RT) several years ago. Palindromes appeal to me. Why is that important? It’s not really, except to say that my character was similar to the one depicted in your story, so it spoke to me. As for the writing itself, my favorite part of this was the measuring of time, and the way you changed it from one section to another: “Minutes or hours passed.” and then “Hours or minutes passed,” with periodic changes throughout the story. It was like word glue that held each portion together, and still allowed us to watch as time went by. Bravo Eric, I loved it.

I enjoyed the inclusion of Bridget, and her almost human behavior. I would love to read more of this story.
